Travel Thoughts: A dream come true

Snowy white mountain peaks, sun-reflecting lakes and grass that really does seem to be greener on the other side. Switzerland is one of my favourite destinations in Europe, and ever since I heard about The Glacier Express years ago, it’s been on top of my to-travel-list – as well as exploring the country by train in general.
Two times before I’ve had the pleasure of visiting by rail – on two seperate Interrail trips. One time discovering its beautiful capital Bern. The other time hanging out in high-class Zürich. Both times the alpine country has amazed me, and I can’t wait to be back.
From Monday my dream of exploring Switzerland by train will come true, with a 9-day work (writing) trip all around the country.
From Zürich in the north to the French part in the west. From famous ski resorts in the east to the Italian atmosphere in the south. An epic journey I feel so fortunate to be able to go on.
My schedule will be tight, but I’ll do my best to post some updates along the tracks. So keep an eye on the blog, and share it with friends who could use some European holiday inspiration.
