Tenerife: Street art in Puerto de la Cruz
I’m an avid street art hunter and love to go exploring for murals and urban art whenever I travel. But when I recently stayed on the island of Tenerife in Spain, I hadn’t done any previous research on street art in Puerto de la Cruz, so I wasn’t expecting to find anything special around the streets of this city. How nice it is to be surprised.
Despite only being able to explore the city’s street art scene sporadically, I soon discovered it’s a very nice place for urban art in the Canaries. Large and excellent murals by great artists are adorning the facades of buildings in the old neighbourhood, just west of Plaza del Charco and a short walk from the harbour.

Though I couldn’t catch it all this time around, I thought I would share a few shots of what I did see, to give you a head’s up if you’re a street art fan too and plan to visit this part of the world:
